There is an art as well as a craft to staging inclusive, accessible, meaningful encounters.

Festivals are not about what to do, they are about how to be. In pre-modern times, communities had festivals once a week - sometimes more. In the absence of media, and institutions, these gatherings created trust, solidarity, and meaning. Those are also qualities that we need today.
