Is The Collaborative Economy A Self-Fulfilling Prophecy?

We all love collaborative economy. But do we know if such a thing exists ? It's a bold challenge to assume that non-profit and for-profit players, service providers and consumers, technophobic people and geeks take part in a single phenomenon. Let's go back to root facts and key people in order to decipher the true nature of the practices we mix into this "collaborative economy" idea, and to know whether it's consistent enough to deserve recognition as a phenomenon. One thing is sure : Collaborative economy is a culture, a new one, and it is fueled by the notion that a paradigm shift is needed, and that we are the only accountable players to be relied upon. And if it's powerful enough, this culture could become a true phenomenon.
