OpenDesk: Design For Open Making - From WikiHouse to WikiFactory

Nick will present OpenDesk, a glocal platform that connects customers, designers and makers, and leverages digital fabrication to offer design furniture that can be made locally all around the world. He will explain the genesis of OpenDesk in the context of two related projects, WikiHouse and FabHub, present some of the ideas behind the OpenDesk model, and touch on some of the wider opportunities and challenges we face in building out this vision of distributed collaborative production.
